Overview

The full drawing toolkit — trendlines, rectangles, text annotations, and the rest — for marking up a chart by hand, on top of everything the platform draws automatically.

What's covered

  • The core tool set — Trendlines, horizontal rays, rectangles, and text annotations are the manual-markup tools, layered on top of the order-flow drawings Exocharts places automatically.
  • Edit a drawing after placing it — Double-click a drawing to open its settings panel, where color, width, and dash pattern determine how it renders; the line tool adds extend left/right, which controls how far the line runs across the chart, and arrow left/right.
  • Lock a drawing — Locking pins a drawing to its position so it can't be dragged or resized by accident while you're working on the chart.
  • The object tree — The object tree in the top-left corner lists every drawing on the chart and is where you act on them one by one: open that drawing's settings, lock it, hide it while keeping it in the list, or delete it.
  • Persistence — Drawings are saved per chart/template, so reopening that layout brings them back rather than starting blank — worth knowing before you assume a fresh chart load starts clean.
