Creating an API key
Before adding an API key to Exocharts Desktop, you must first create it on your selected exchange.
Below is a list of currently supported exchanges, along with step-by-step instructions on how to create an API key for each of them.
Creating a Bybit API Key
You can generate a Bybit API key as follows:
Bybit → API Management
Create New Key → System-generated API keys
API Key Name → Any descriptive name (for example: Exocharts Trading)
Permissions → Read-Write
IP Restriction → Disabled
Account Type → Unified Trading (automatically enables Orders, Positions, USDC Derivatives Trading, and Trade)
IP restriction may be enabled if you have a static IP address and do not expect it to change. Please note that most residential and VPN IP addresses change frequently and may cause connection issues.
This is the recommended configuration:

Adding Your API Key to Exocharts Desktop
* This feature is available only in the Exocharts Desktop application.
To add your API key, navigate to: Top left corner → Settings → Connection Manager

Select your exchange, enter an account name, and input your API key credentials.

- Once complete, click Save at the bottom of the window.
The API key will then be available for selection in the trading sidebar under Order Form.
