Order Form

To access the trading order form, click the T button in the top-right corner of any open chart.

  • Margin Modes

Margin mode determines how margin is allocated and managed across your positions.

Cross Margin – Uses the entire account balance as shared margin across all open positions, helping reduce the risk of liquidation.

Isolated Margin – Allocates a specific margin amount to each position. Only the allocated margin is at risk for that position.

Portfolio Margin – Calculates margin requirements based on the overall risk of the portfolio. Margin requirements may be reduced when positions offset each other.

You can switch between margin modes here:

You can learn more about margin modes for each exchange here: https://www.bybit.com/en/help-center/article/Differences-Between-the-Margin-Modes-Under-the-Unified-Trading-Account

  • One way vs Hedge mode

Position mode defines how positions can be opened for derivative instruments.

One-Way Mode – Allows a single position per instrument on derivative pairs.

Hedge Mode – Allows one long and one short position to be opened simultaneously on the same derivative instrument.

You can adjust the position mode here within the sidebar:

Note:
When both Isolated Margin and Hedge Mode are enabled, use the toggle button highlighted below, located next to the percentage hotkeys, to switch between the buy margin balance and the sell margin balance.
