Overview
Candle body styling and the font controls that apply across the chart — the purely visual layer that makes everything else on the chart easier to read.
What's covered
- The candle display modes — a walkthrough of every mode from Void through Bar. Void draws no candle at all, so price action is read from the cluster or profile data alone, while the other modes differ in how the open, high, low, and close are drawn.
- The styling controls underneath the modes — border color, border width, and mono colors — determine how the candle outline and body are drawn, and they carry across the candle modes rather than applying to one mode only.
- The global font settings — these set the typeface and text sizing used across the chart, including the axis text and the text inside clusters, so one change affects the whole chart at once.
- Side Open-High-Low-Close pairs well with clusters. Instead of a standard candle body, OHLC is drawn as a thin marker on the side of the bar — leaving the cluster/delta data the main visual focus instead of competing with a full candle body for space. A genuinely different reading experience from a normal candlestick.
- Border width around 10 makes candles far easier to scan. The default border is thin; pushing the candle border width up substantially (shown live in the video) makes it much easier to see at a glance exactly where each candle's boundaries are, especially at smaller chart sizes.
- Bar mode is a personal favorite, but a work in progress. The classic OHLC bar style (TradingView-style) is called out as a preferred format, with more refinement planned for the side-bar variant specifically — worth revisiting in future app versions.
