Overview
Controls how a TPO chart is split into individual profiles — by day, by week, or by a custom session — and how those splits are labeled and colored.
What's covered
- Split by exchange day / exchange week — profiles follow the instrument's session boundaries (UTC-based for crypto), so a new profile starts when the exchange's day or week begins.
- Split by chart day / chart week — profiles follow your local time zone instead of the exchange's. Choosing the wrong option is a common cause of a TPO profile that resets at an unexpected hour.
- Split by custom session — if you've defined your own sessions (e.g., Asia / London / New York) under Chart Settings → Sessions, TPO builds a new profile at each session boundary instead of at a fixed calendar day.
- Show session names — labels each profile with its session name at the top, so you can tell which profile is which without counting back from the current one.
- Per-session color overrides — assign a distinct color to each session (Asia, London, New York…) so profiles are visually distinguishable at a glance without reading the labels.
- Filtering the chart to one session — under Chart Settings → Session, filtering to e.g., "London" applies to the TPO chart as well and leaves only that session's activity on screen.
