Overview
Volume profile and volume cluster show the exact same underlying data — where transaction volume is concentrated at each price — just rendered in two different ways.
What's covered
- Volume Profile — a sideways bar-chart view inside each candle that shows how much volume traded at each price level during the candle's rotation period, making the high-volume node and the Point of Control easy to spot at a glance.
- Volume Cluster — the same information rendered as shading intensity instead of bars; darker = more volume traded at that price. Same data, different eye — pick whichever reads faster for you.
- Reading high-volume nodes as support/resistance — heavy volume nodes tend to hold as S/R levels. The video flags one specific pattern: when price closes well away from where its POC actually formed, it leaves "trapped volume" behind — a setup covered in more depth elsewhere in the original course as a dedicated trapped-value-area technique.
- Where Value Area lives in this view — Value Area High and Value Area Low are toggled from the same Cluster settings panel as the profile itself, and each has its own opacity control for isolating them visually. This video only shows where those toggles live; value areas themselves are covered in detail later in the course.
